Neoya X2VGA
The Neoya X2VGA is a device that allows you to connect your Xbox directly to a computer monitor. Why would you want to connect your Xbox to your computer monitor? Well, there are plenty of reasons. If you live with your parents and they have an HDTV, chances are they won't want you to ruin their TV. Even though this doesn't happen and Xbox was made for HDTV, many people still believe in the urban legend that video game consoles ruin TVs. Another reason might be that you have your high-speed internet connection at your computer and don't want to run a 50ft. cable all the way to your living room. Also, what if for some reason your TV gets busted? How will you get your game on? All these are just some of the reasons why the X2VGA is a great product. But, the most important reason is the ability to play your Xbox games in High-Definition!
In case you didn't know, your computer monitor has the ability to display higher resolutions than a regular TV. Ever wanted to play your games in HDTV glory? Well, it's quite simple with the X2VGA. All you do is connect your monitor to it then the X2VGA to your Xbox. Turn on the X2VGA, your monitor, and your Xbox (without a game in it)-- Go to the video settings of the Dashboard and turn on the HDTV modes. When you turn on your Xbox without a game in it, the Dashboard will load. Unfortunately, the Dashboard is shown in a mode called 480i which causes the image to be barely readable due to scanlines. The reason for this is that the Xbox doesn't show the Dashboard in High-Definition. It's no big deal though, when in this mode, the only thing you'll be doing in turning on the HDTV modes. After you've done it once, you won't need to do it again.
The X2VGA is a small piece of hardware about 5 by 2 inches. Extremely lightweight, practically floating. On it, the VGA input to connect your monitor to, along with a TOSLink, and AV connections to connect speakers to, etc. Nice simple design comprised of all black except for the two green buttons on top.
So how do the games actually look while played through the X2VGA? One word: Amazing! The detail is incredible! Characters and environments look incredible. Games like Halo look jaw-droppingly beautiful while games like Soul Calibur II might give you a permanent smile across your face!
Overall, the Neoya X2VGA is an amazing product that should be checked out by those looking for a VGA adapter. You can't go wrong with this one.
